Are you on a router? If so Wired or Wireless, and is your mom's comp hooked up to the same one you are using?

If its the one your mom's comp is hooked up to, is she on wired or wireless?

There are a few things that could be causing the problems, like bad ethernet cables for wired, or a simple pocket loss on data for wireless. Is this happening for just 1 game?
