Open Question: Why does Facebook keep freezing on Internet Explorer?

She uses IE8 on Windows XP on an Asus Notebook to access Facebook, and her account keeps freezing up. She's able to view it and everything but when she tries to scroll the page, it freezes up. Same goes for whenever she goes to a new page or posts a status. We've already scanned the computer for problems, but there weren't any. When using a different computer, it works perfectly. Since it's only happening on the one computer on the one site, we're thinking that the virus may be attacking the computer's IP address, rather than the account itself.
