Resolved Question: Belkin router password setup? please help?
1. The admin password. This password gives you access to the router's settings, you will need to enter it before making any changes etc, by default on most Belkin's, you just leave the password box blank.
2. The wireless password, which is the password required to access the network wirelessly.
Do not confuse these passwords, or assume they are the same, changing one will not affect the other.
If you are connected wirelessly and you change the wireless password, you will be disconnected from the wireless network, as the current connection no longer applies.
If it's the wireless password you're trying to change, once you have changed it, it -should- disconnect you. That means on your computer you then need to search wireless networks, edit the options, and edit the saved password to the new one you selected.
If you're trying to change the admin password but have been changing the wireless one accidentally, look for more options in the router setup, it'll probably be under something like "System Settings" as opposed to "Wireless Settings".
