Open Question: Who provides internet connection to websites like Google and Facebook?

Home >All Categories > Computers & Internet >Internet >Other - Internet >Open Questionakash p akash p Member since:September 24, 2007Total points:131 (Level 1)Try doing this - Open whatismyipaddress.com and search for this IP - 209.85.175.106 (One of Google's IP) or 69.63.181.12 (One of Facebook's IP)
It will show that the ISP are the companies itself. How is that possible? Are they both ISPs?
If not, who provides them internet connection?
And if they are ISPs themselves then how can I do it myself? I mean, how can I become my own ISP with the sole purpose of hosting my own website? So that I can host my website on a server connected to my own ISP with high speed net.
Note: I don't want you to tell me things like "you need a lot of money to do that", all I want to ask is the procedure to do it!Answer Question
